My Solution

Although I was not able to do the last few posts I will post my problem and solution in the same post.  A problem that have seen living down in south florida was the problem with too many people riding their horses around the community. I believe this can be dangerous not only to the humans but also the horses. I think that a good problem solver would be to open a little community for people to be able to ride around and put a few shops there as well. The shops will refrain from them using the horses to get groceries and any other goodies they need or want.

Identifying Local Opportunities

McDonald's gets rezoning needed  for W.University Ave. location

2. The story is talking about how Mc.Donald's on 13th is rezoning to Northwest 12th street and Northwest 12th Terrace. They were pretty much moved for a smaller than average Publix that is going to be built there. 
3. The problem in the story is that the new area where the McDonalds will be located is going to make congestion and traffic.
4. The Gainesville residents are the ones that have the problem if there is going to be traffic and congestion.

Opportunity: The opportunity that arises will be the new Publix allowing more college students easy access to a grocery store and that Publix will get a lot of revenue from them.

Florida Book Store to close its doors after 83 years

2. The story is about how the Florida bookstore is closing to turn into an apple technician store.
3. The problem in the story is that people do not like the fact that there will be no other UF bookstore other than the one on campus.
4. The UF students are the ones that will be dealing with the problem because they will only have one main bookstore to go to.

Opportunity: The opportunity that arises will be the new apple store opening up. They will bring a lot of UF students who have problems with laptops or apple phones.

Florida's schedule is unfair and hard, and alway will be

2. The story is about how UF's football team has a much tougher, and unfair schedule than the other college football teams.
3. The problem in the story is that UF football players do not get a fair schedule and other teams do. So UF will not be able to get a fair shot at winning.
4. The UF football team will be the ones dealing with the problem because they have to work extra hard.

Opportunity: The opportunity that arises will be to proove to other schools that no matter what obstacle thrown at the Gators we are the best team. It will also give the Gators a better reputation.

Owners of Barbaro suffer another loss on Preakness day

2. The story is about how the owners of the Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro lost another horse 10 years after Barbaro past away. The horse Prameyda broke her left cannon bone  and had to be put down during the race.
3. The problem in the story is that the horse was a huge loss for the owners. They lost another horse to soon after Barbaro.
4. The Owners are the ones that are going to be dealing with the problem because not only are they sad about the loss they have to find and train another horse.

Opportunity: The opportunity that arises will be for the owners to may be find something else to do or help another horse by training it.

Planned facility for elderely Hare Krishna members raises concerns

2. The story is about how the needs of the Elderly Hare Krishna members are trying to be met. They are trying to build a 74 unit congregate living facility for senior members.
3. The problem in the story is that to create this congregate they need to change Alachua County's comprehensive plan.
4. The County Officials are the ones with the problem because they would have to come up with a way to allow this sort of housing. 

Opportunity: The opportunity that arise will be for the elderly people in Hare Krishna to have a better chance to be closer and more involved.

Bug List

1. Traffic on the I-4 in Orlando during rush hour is horrendous.

• The road engineers might not have expected how many people relied on this road to go to work.

     2. The sound of two pieces of Styrofoam rubbing against each other.

• The creators of Styrofoam might have not anticipated the sound of two pieces rubbing together. All they were concerned about was that it kept stuff that was fragile safe.

    3. People who brake consistently while driving in traffic.

• These people may not be the best drivers or had a bad teacher who taught them how to drive.

    4.People who take their frustration out on employees when it may have not been them that created the problem.

• Those people may have not worked in the customer service industry and do not understand what may be going on.

    5.When I greet someone at the front desk where I work and they completely ignore you when they obviously heard you.

• That person may have been thinking about something else or in a bad mood from something else that happened that day.

   6. When solicitors call my phone 5 times in one day and don't put me on there do not call list.

• The system may have not processed my request that day to be put on the do not call list. 

   7. When my manager at Home2 Suites gives me too little hours.

• He may not realize how much of a broke college student I am.

  8. When people chew with their mouth open especially when its something crunchy.

• The person chewing may not hear how loud their chewing is because they are used to it.

  9.When people do not answer their phone after they just called me and I missed their call.

• They may have their phone on silent and put their phone in their pocket after they couldn't reach me.

 10. When IPhones make you update the system to use most of the apps.

• Apple may not realize how annoying and time consuming this gets and they just want the best services for us.

 11. When you are on an important phone call and you forget that your phone has one percent battery.

• You may be so focused on the important phone call that you forget that you need your phone to have battery to have the conversation.

 12. How my mom used to wake me up every morning at 6:00am for middle school and high school.

• My mom may have not realized that I need my beauty rest or I will turn into something really scary in the morning. I guess she also wanted me to succeed in life and get the most education I could.

 13.When my cat attacks my feet when I get up from bed in the morning.

• My cat may think she is playing and that it will not hurt, but she does not realize she has piercing claws and that humans are not as tough as kittens are.

 14. The feeling of your teeth after you eat a lot of pineapple.

• This usually happens because I am really hungry, and I love pineapple so I kind of over do it.

 15. When your GPS on your phone gives you the directions to a building that  is not there anymore.

• This probably happens because the GPS systems don't update very often so they still have old buildings on the map.

 16. When your in the middle of a test and your pen runs out of ink so  you have to go into your bag to get a pen which makes it look like your cheating.

• This happens because you don't usually think your pen will fail you during a test.

 17. When you spill red sauce on your brand new white shirt that was 50 dollars.

• I honestly don't know why this always happens but probably because I am clumsy.

18. When your dog sneaks a stick into the house and breaks it up into a billion little woodchips.

• This may happen because my dog believes we need mulch and he was just trying to help us out, or because he likes to annoy us.

 19. When you stub your toe turning a corner in your house.

• This usually happens because again I am clumsy and sometimes I am not really focusing on where I am going.

20. When your phone doesn't charge over night.

• This may happen because your charger is no good, or the outlet that its plugged into doesn't work anymore.

Challenges:

I think the biggest challenge was recalling all of them. I thought it was going to be a lot easier than it actually was.  I feel like the first couple I breezed through but the last few were hard to think about. After I finished the list I felt more irritable because I was thinking about all the things that bothered me.

My Entrepreneurship Story

A time in my life that I have been exposed to entrepreneurship is watching my dad run his property management company. I got to help  him establish his business and watched him go to different tenants and collect rent. He also made sure the properties were kept up to date and clean. I enrolled in ENT 3003 because I feel it can help in any field you are studying. I also need to fulfill my final elective credits to graduate Summer B.

Hello my names Gabriella Candiotti, and I am taking the entrepruenership class online. I currently only have to take this class and my two foreign language credits to graduate summer B.
