I would say most of the people I interviewed with seemed to want to purchase stuff in cash and not on credit card of finance. Also a lot of people prefer to go into a store when deciding what they want to buy. I think with alternative evaluation I can see how I have to definitely compensate in many different areas I think people do care about the money aspect but also don't want bad quality and it to be really cheap. The purchase decision I think is totally a personal preference you are going to get people that don't enjoy a certain sport so they won't buy the equipment for it. Post-Purchase evaluation helps me to see how I can have customers that will enjoy my product and make it better. I also can get my products name spread around if they like it after the fact.

Halfway Reflection
Some behaviors I have used to keep up with the requirements of this class are multi-tasking, and keeping my calendar up to date. I never really felt the urge to give up in the class but I did have times where I was exhausted from working all week and didn't want to do the assignment. I just thought about graduating and how close it was and how I want to get an A in this class. I do feel like I developed a tenacious attitude because I have to have one to be a full time student and have a full time job. Three tips I would offer the next semesters student is:
1) To be tenacious in this class you need to keep working hard and get your assignments done the day they are due not the extra day you have.
2) To develop the tenacious mindset I think you need to keep your calendar organized and stay committed to doing the work on time.
3) Lastly, I think you should make sure to be thorough with your work and double check it.

My Portmanteau: Desick
The word I created is called Desick. The definition of this word is when people are finally getting over being sick. It would be used in a sentence when someone is asking if you are feeling better you say I am feeling like I am Desick. When people started to hear me use this word they were a little confused at first but some of them actually thought it was creative. One person actually came up to me and told me she was started to feeling Desick. No one really was totally thrown off by the word but at first it did feel a little awkward to say until it was said a couple of times. I thought this was a really fun assignment and I hope to do more like this one soon!

Idea Napkin No.1
1) I am a college student who loves to be out on the ocean in a boat on my free time. My skills consist of drawing, painting, and anything really artistic. My aspirations are a little off from what my skills are I want to become an attorney. I see this business playing a big role in my life most of my friends go fishing or diving and are always out on a boat I think it would affect me and the lives many people around me.
2) I am offering a self-docking boat with a few extra bells and whistles that come with it. After a long day out on the ocean you will not have to go through the hassle of docking the boat. It will extend the rope and attach to the hook on the dock by a magnet. and the fenders that block the boat from hitting the wall pop out by a button as well so all you have to do is gather your stuff and hope out of the boat.
3) I think the most frequent customers would be hard working fishermen and divers who are exhuasted and still have to go through the hassle of filleting the fish and cleaning out the boat. All they want to do at the end of the day is get out of the boat.
4) They will actually pay the money for it because the extra 30min to an hour they use to dock the boat will be spent on catching more fish and then in return get more for there money.
5) I think what sets me apart from most people that sell stuff for boats is that I actually have been in this situation and I know people that have said one to many times that they hate docking the boat.
I think that these elements actually flow really well together. The one thing that I think I need to work on is the cost of the product. I need to come up with a way to make it cheap and worth the money. If takes a lot of money to actually produce this product then were going to have to charge a lot. I have to think about a way maybe to not already have it made into the boat but parts that can attach to it.
Week 7 Reading Reflection No.1
1) The reading I chose was Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson.
- What Surprised me the most was that Steve Jobs experimented with LSD and Marijuana.
- What I admired most about him was that he kept inventing and pursuing his ideas after his first project the "Blue Box" got stolen from him at gun point.
- I least admired his usage of drugs throughout his life.
- As I stated earlier the only thing that would be a certain set back not necessarily a failure would be when he got his idea stolen from him. Steve Jobs just kept living his life he went to India invented a one player version of pong and when he got back home finished the game with Steve Wozniak in four days.
2) Steve Jobs was skilled in Mechanical Engineering, and computers. As you can obviously attest for by his creation of Apple.
3) I do not think there was really any part of the reading that was confusing to me. I guess maybe how involved his real parents were in his life.
4) Is there anything you would have done differently ? and probably How long it took him to think up different ideas? I would ask him these questions because I would like to know to understand him a little bit more.
5) I think he would say hard work would be getting up and going to class and sitting through them because he was always bored in class. I don't know if I would agree with him I like going to class maybe not morning classes but its always nice to learn something new.

Testing the Hypothesis Part.2
The Interviews that I conducted provided a great amount of insight. I have many people that actually seem to think this idea is great. Some people do ask me further questions on how I plan to make the rope automatically find the dock hook. I plan on asking expert mechanical engineers who know the precise way something like that can be accomplished. I have also have had different ideas about how to make my invention a little bit better. One person said instead of making a rope magnetic make there be a magnet on the side of the boat and one on the side of the dock so all you have to do is pull up next to it. The same person also said the magnet on the side of the boat could be a little bit more protruded out so you don’t have to put any fenders on because the boat will be pushed away by the magnets. Other than that one person everybody seemed to think my idea sounds like something that could really be helpful.
Inside the Boundary: Anyone that has been on a boat for more than a couple of hours. They no how tired people can get when they get back.
Outside the Boundary: Anyone who has only been on a boat for a short amount of time and does not know the work of taking a boat out into the ocean.
Elevator Pitch 1
Hey guys! Have you ever came back from a long day out on a boat and had no energy to dock the boat? Well not to worry I have created something where the only thing you will have to worry about when docking your boat is remembering to press the button. There are so many fisherman and people that go out not wanting to create anymore work but just want to get out of the boat and go home! What I propose is we create a self docking boat! The boats rope would have some sort of magnetic metal in it so that when it is ejected it will automatically go to where the metal is. I also want to make automatic fenders that pop out so you don’t have to worry about tying those up to the boat either. Can I set up something where I can further explain my innovation and show you how great of an idea this really is! I know you will love it!
Tweaking the Innovation
The product I was thinking about making was something that
made docking a boat way easier and less strenuous. I was thinking of some sort
of magnetic rope that knew how to find its way to the dock and then the fenders
would automatically pop out on the side its dock next to. All you would have to
do is press a button to detect the spot and it will automatically do all the
work. I would make a few different
variations by some being the cheaper version, which would not automatically
take out the fenders just dock the boat. The benefit of my product would be
that if you are coming home from a long day out on the boat you will have one
less thing to do that puts stress on you. The tangible is a magnetic rope and
the automatic fenders that pop out when you click the automatic docking button.
The augmented benefit would be the automatic parking and the automatic popping
out of fenders. Where my innovation can be tweaked is on making an invention
that is less costly.
